Printz Fine Art Appraisals

Art Advisory

An appraiser is a professional with the expertise and credentials needed to evaluate property. Formally trained as a personal property appraiser, Bellamy Printz is an Associate Candidate of the Appraisers Association of America and is Uniform Standards in Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant through June 2027. Her focus is Post-War, Contemporary and Emerging artists. As a separate entity, Printz Fine Art Appraisals provides appraisals of artwork for purposes of insurance, estate tax, charitable donation, equitable distribution, liquidation, purchase, and sale. Bellamy is available to conduct a preliminary review of items to assess pricing and scope of the appraisal needed at no charge.

Making the decision to include art in your environment can be both exciting and daunting. Working with an expert helps to create a focus and aesthetic, as well as providing you with a wealth of information and assistance to move forward as you create your personal art  collection. Whether you are looking to purchase new art pieces or reconfigure your current collection, Bellamy is able to work with any size or type of artworks to find the best locations and will arrange for professional installation in your home or office. With 30 years experience as an independent Contemporary Art curator she is always interested in seeking out new artists and working with the client on their needs  and preferences. Bellamy’s experience in institutional collecting is also extensive. During the 13+ years as a curator for a major US medical system, Bellamy, managed major acquisitions, including site-specific commissions and special projects. She is equally comfortable with private and corporate clients.

Collection Management

Cataloging and managing your art collection is important for a myriad of reasons. Whether for insurance purposes or to keep track of locations, anyone with a significant group of artworks should have a concise resource to refer to. By developing a clear accounting of all your art objects, be they your own works, or those that you have collected over the years, you are making an investment for the future of your holdings. Bellamy uses a specific software that helps organize many aspects of each individual object, and with your help for documents or oral history, she can build a platform from which you can manage your art assets.
